Justin M. Dingee
Attorney

Justin M. Dingee graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree from Appalachian State University in 2003 and received his Juris Doctrine, with a concentration in Criminal Law from the Michigan State University College of Law in 2006. 

 

During his time at Appalachian Justin fell in love with Western North Carolina and decided that he would come back here to settle down and raise a family.

 

Justin began his legal career as an associate with Joines and Greene law firm in 2006, and then joined the Law Office of William F. Brooks in 2007 as an associate until he took over the practice in October 2013 when Mr. Brooks was sworn in as a District Court Judge in the Twenty-Third Judicial District.

 

With knowledge and experience as a defense attorney, Justin sustains a vigorous trial practice in the District and Superior courts of the Twenty-Third Judicial District in North Carolina. He has trial experience in matters ranging from traffic offenses to complex and serious felony crimes.

 

Justin is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Advocates of Justice and North Carolina Bar Association. He is also a member of the 23rd Judicial District Bar as well as the local Wilkes county Bar Association which he had the privilege of having served as President and Treasurer.

 

Beyond the courtroom, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife, Melissa and their son pursuing the many opportunities the mountains of Western North Carolina offer.  Justin is an avid sports fan who rarely misses an opportunity to support his beloved Appalachian State Mountaineers.

Jason E. Sorel
Attorney

Jason Sorel is a multi-faceted attorney who has represented clients in numerous areas of law during his career. Raised in Wilkes County, he graduated from Appalachian State University with magna cum laude honors and subsequently obtained his Juris Doctorate at Appalachian School of Law in 2008, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Natural Resources Law Journal.

After graduating law school, Jason spent 10 years at a boutique law firm as a partner before joining another firm where he headed the workers’ compensation claims department earning his clients several million dollars in settlement awards. Missing the diverse law practice that boutique firms offer, Jason joined The Law Office of Justin Dingee, PLLC in 2020 making it one of the most comprehensive law firms in Northwest North Carolina.

His experience and versatility are invaluable to clients who do not know how to navigate the legal system and need a strong, effective advocate to fight for them.

Outside of the office, Jason resides in Winston-Salem with his wife, Lauren, and two sons.  He is an avid runner and loves the great craft beers that North Carolina produces.

Jennifer Ledford
Paralegal

Jennifer Smith Ledford began her legal career in 2001 with the Law Office of William F. Brooks working with Michael D. Duncan and later on with Robert J. Crumpton; she is the firm administrator, North Carolina Certified Paralegal, and Notary Public. Jennifer enjoys working with the clients at the, Law Office of Justin M. Dingee (formerly Law Office of William F. Brooks) it is her goal to always treat others as she herself wants to be treated.
 

Jennifer’s commitment to professionalism, dedication and commitment to every client is imperative and her top priority. She wants to make sure that each client has a positive experience from the moment they retain the firm until the final disposition of their case. Jennifer is skilled in all facets of the legal services offered by our firm and is ready to meet your needs.

 

Jennifer resides in North Wilkesboro with her husband, Matt and their two boys, Elijah and Noah. She enjoys spending time with family, friends, hiking, canoeing and simply enjoying all of God’s beautiful creations!

Yaneth Perez-Ramirez
Administrative Assistant / Notary Public

Yaneth Perez-Ramirez joined the Law Office of Justin M. Dingee, PLLC in May of 2016; Yaneth is an asset to our firm and assists clients in various facets.  Yaneth is bilingual which is extremely helpful in assisting many of our clients. She is a ray of sunshine and is always willing to go above and beyond to help our clients.  In Yaneth’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Maria began working with The Law Office of Justin M. Dingee in 2017 and is a wonderful asset to our team. She works parttime and is eager to assist anyone who walks through the door; she is fluent in Spanish.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her children, Benjamin and Anna.
